Ok so I have neglected my Blog for the last few weeks and now I am back to redeem myself. I had my assessment last Monday with Jim and Patricia and it was the wake up call I needed, I've always been slow to get the ball rolling. My major weakness. :) I basically didn't have a suitable amount of work to show for myself for 8 weeks.
So up to now I've been slightly all over the place, well not really, in my head I thought I was fine and then when I have to articulate whats in my head I'm all over the place and it appears I have no direction etc. But I think I actually do...

St. John's Castle: A Beautiful Antiquity next to a busy city road...I love the contrast of Old and New |

One of my favorite shots, Although the top of the arch is cropped it captures the balding cobbles entering the cathedral, probably walked on by millions of feet... |

A part of the original wall that used to surround Irish town as protection. I went on a mini treasure hunt trying to find the last remaining bits. |
I've spent a lot of the last few weeks exploring St. Mary's Cathedral, making studies and sketches( not filled the sketch book as much as I would have liked and am slightly disappointed with myself) as it fitted in with the direction I wanted to go looking at Limerick's Urban environment from a historical perspective as its the oldest building in Limerick.
I've looked at some artists that have done similar lines of work including Claude Monet and Denis Creffield.

Some sketches and Drawings follow tomorrow...
