I'm Painting, researching, and writing...

This Week I was working on my painting of St. Johns. I'm using Acrylics on Primed wood A2. I painted a piece of wood with white emulsion, sanded it down and then applied another 2 layers until I had a nice smooth finish to work on. It took ages. When I'm rich and famous I'll have people to do that for me. I'm not using brushes in this painting just a variety of pallet knives which is proving irksome but interesting none the less. I hope to be finished by next week its taking longer then I thought and with the essay date looming it might take longer...

Pictures will be up in do course, my laptop is rejecting my camera for some reason so thats why I'm so slow to upload but they will be up eventually I promise. :)

Also this week looking at Artists who use Impasto as a technique painting wise, such as John Yeats and Francis Bacon etc they'll all be  going in my contextual notebook :)
